Current Happenings & Testimonials
From Homemaker To Entrepreneur
Five homemakers, once entirely dependent on their husbands and struggling to make ends meet, dreamed of contributing financially but lacked direction. With support from MAC Trust, they formed a Self-Help Group (SHG), began saving regularly, and after six months, secured a ₹50,000 bank loan. Pooling ₹2.5 lakhs, they launched a small garment unit. Today, each woman earns around ₹7,000 monthly, supporting their children's education and improving their families’ lives. More than just financial change, the journey boosted their confidence and turned them into community role models — a true testament to the power of empowerment and unity.
Marketing Linkage For SHG Products
This year, our initiatives empowered over 550 women by facilitating loan linkages for Self-Help Groups (SHGs), enabling them to launch micro-enterprises in tailoring, livestock rearing, food processing, and small-scale trading. Through targeted, region-specific training programs, we transformed unskilled women into skilled contributors, with 456 women gaining practical skills aligned to local needs. These efforts have led to sustainable incomes, improved family well-being, and enhanced self-confidence—paving the way for stronger communities and a brighter tomorrow.
Specialized Health Camps
MAC, in collaboration with corporate partners, conducts specialized health camps across rural communities to address specific and pressing health concerns. Based on insights from general screenings, these camps focus on areas such as orthopedics, eye care, gynecology, diabetes management, anemia treatment, and dermatology. By bringing expert medical care directly to underserved areas, we ensure timely diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for individuals who may otherwise lack access to quality healthcare. These targeted interventions not only improve individual health outcomes but also enhance the overall well-being of families and communities.
